MK 299 Article Post

The topic for my internet marketing class is research and using data. Database sources are an example of using data. An example of this is bricks-and-clicks which typically integrate their online and offline database activities. For example, General Motors (GM) collected information from over one million of its GM credit cardholders who opted-in to reveal the information when they registered at gmcard.com. They were sent marketing information based on their current vehicle ownership, their automobile preferences, and intention to purchase. These promotions stimulated sales. Over fifty million direct-mail pieces are sent annually to attract new credit-card customers.
